MATTHEW 7:24,25
(KJV)
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Whoever hears and does them. Does what? Drinks of the sincere spiritual Milk of the word, that's what. That is where the baby receives the life from its mother, which is where we receive the life from Him, through the Spirit of Truth. This is how one grows, this is how one matures; this is how one becomes wise; he stays simple. Focused upon the Rock, the Rock that is higher than I. The Rock of the revelation of who He is. The Rock upon which He is building His Church. Tell me sir, where do I get this living Milk to drink? I AM HE! I am the foundation which has been laid and every man should be careful how he builds thereon. No other foundation can be laid upon that which has already been laid. The seed has been planted and now it is up to Him to give the increase. We must subject ourselves to the Spirit of God and allow Him to wash away all are head knowledge replacing it with the knowledge of the heart, His knowledge, His mind, His thoughts, His will, what and who He thinks we are, as He knows we are. II TIMOTHY 2:19
(KJV)
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
(The Living Bible)
But God's truth stands firm like a great rock, and nothing can shake it. It is a foundation stone with these words written on it: "The Lord knows those who are really his," and "A person who calls himself a Christian should not be doing things that are wrong."
(Bruce)
Yet God's firm foundation stone stands with these words inscribed upon it: "The Lord knows His own people" and" All who name the Lord's name must renounce ungodliness".
(Jordan)
but just the same, God's corner stone is still in place, and it reads: "The Lord knows His true ones", and "Let all who call themselves Christians withdraw from evil."
(Way)
Yet still the Church's steadfast foundation laid by God stands unshaken: these are the words graven on the corner-stone that seals her for His,
The Lord knoweth His own; and again, let everyone who taketh for His watchword the name of the Lord stand clear of unrighteousness.
