They didn't crucify Him because He was a great teacher, they didn't kill Him because He was a miracle worker, they killed Him because He said He was the Son of God!

Their jealousy of Him moved them to rage and their rage moved them to crucify Him because He showed them what a true Son of God was. He was operating under the Old Covenant, not the New; the New Testament Church hadn't been established yet. He identified with everything the Father had previously said about Him. He believed it, relied on it and acted on it that is why He was Crucified.

So when He says "if you dwell within the revelation I have brought", He wasn't talking about living according to some rules and regulations. He was talking about death, His death on a cross, His death for us, His example that we should follow. It is this truth and this truth alone that will make you free, make you grow.

We need to fix our eyes on Jesus and what He has done for us in His Death, Burial, Resurrection and Ascension, keeping them there until we are changed.

That is the Milk of the Word, which is the pure spiritual Milk. That is why Jesus came. He came to die. He came so we could partake of Him:

Look. He came to die. That was His purpose. Without which, we could not be partakers of the Kingdom of God. If He didn't die we wouldn't be here now, as Christians, would we? Children of His family. Brothers and sisters of the same womb. Having come out from the same source.

He wants us to desire and crave the Milk because that is our identity IN HIM, which is who we are now In The Promised Land. If we truly do not understand this fundamental truth then we are going to be tossed to and fro by every wind or breath of teaching man can come up with. Everyone running everywhere to the next fad or craze of doctrine we hear.
