JOHN 8:31-32
(KJV)
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(Barclay)
if you make my message the fixed center of your life, you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will liberate you.
(Klingensmith)
if you stay in my Word, you are my true students, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
(NEB)
if you dwell within the revelation I have brought, you are indeed my disciples, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
(Callan)
you shall know me and accept my revelation, and you shall be made free from the slavery of sin.

"If you dwell within the revelation I have brought"... What revelation? The revelation of Who He Was, Is and Will Be! That was the revelation that He brought. Remember He asked His disciples who they thought He was? This is the revelation that the Church is to be built on. This is the truth we all need to absorb, assimilate and desire as the Milk of God.

He didn't come to teach us a correct way to live, He came to show us how to die, so we would let Him live through us, that is what makes us free. It wasn't the teaching of His earthly ministry that He was talking about no that is not why He came.

HE CAME HERE TO DIE! He came to show us how we would live once we were born of God and knew who we were and who He was in us. His earthly ministry was just a reflection of what He knew Himself to be on the inside. We cannot imitate that life, we need to stop trying to imitate the life and let the life live through us. Think about it.

Now ask yourself why Jesus was here.

Why? He was here to be sacrificed for us.
Why? So that we could be set free through Him.
Why? So that once He was believed on in He could live again through us.
Why was He crucified? Because He said He was equal to God, the Son of God.

JOHN 10:32, 33
(KJV)
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

They stoned Him because He knew who He was. He knew where He came from and He knew who His father was, that's it. Period!
