He realizes that there are a tremendous amount of different languages, voices that are speaking to us at all times. He knows that we are and can be easily distracted by these. There is a river of never-ending darkness flowing around our lives at all times; it is the ways of the world. The ways of the world's language, the world's mind, it only promotes confusion and misunderstanding. This worldly language says we can't know, says we can't understand. But, realize it is sin and sin alone that separates us from the love of God and from knowing God. So if someone is telling you that you can't know Him and know all of Him personally, than they are leading you astray and they themselves have been walking down the wrong road. This world mind tries to keep us away from God, tries to keep us from knowing Him. It's main objective is to keep us separated from God, at all times and in all places. The subconscious influences that try to distract us from hearing God as we can and should. I CORINTHIANS 14:10, 11
(KJV)
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without
signification. 11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him
that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
(Johnson)
Or take language as another example. There are numerous languages in the world and each
has meaning to those who speak it. If however I don't understand a persons language,
I will be a foreigner to him and he will be a foreigner to me.
(Stevens)
Each language has, no doubt, a meaning of its own, but if one does not know the language
which is spoken to him, no idea is conveyed.
(Laubach)
There are many languages in the world. All of them have a meaning to somebody. But if
I do not understand the language which another man is speaking, I shall regard him as
a stranger from a foreign land, and he will think the same of me.
Do you see this? We are not strangers to God. We are not foreigners to Him and His country. If this is true, and it is, then we all have the same ability given to us to know Him. To know all of Him and to know Him to the limit of our own heart, this is what God, the Father truly desires, really wants from us. It is to absorb and assimilate His language so as to be able to understand Him directly and receive of Him direct communication in an unbroken chain of harmonious Glory unto Glory! Know Him beloved! Grab onto the horns of the altar and don't let go, until you see His wonderful face, until you experience the fullness of His presence, until we all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God. Let us press on, press on in, with full assurance of faith, in full confidence that He desires a people of like mind, one in word, one in language and one in speech. In that way and that way alone can He perform His will in this earth! God, our Father, is speaking to us in plain speech, otherwise He wouldn't speak, or He wouldn't have spoken. I don't think God, as God, is one who would waste words. So, when He talks to us it is simple, easy to be heard, easy to understand, His yoke is easy, His burden is light. Praise God, think about it, think it out, think it through, it's all so beautiful, isn't it? It is not hard to hear from Him and to learn of Him. It's just that we have to start with the milk of the word. The primary, basic aspects and elements of His word that will make a complete difference in the language of God as it is revealed to us by the Spirit of God. The fundamentals of any language are the most important. They are, what develops the language into what it is, and what it is to be in our own lives, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. It is also the fundamentals that are the most tasking on our person. Fundamentals are the most tedious on our patience, and the most arduous on our endurance. It is in these that we usually falter, wither, fade and give in. It is easier to go listen to someone read then it is to learn to read. Isn't it? You see, it is easier to go listen to someone speak, then it is to learn to speak. Beloved, this ought not be so, let us each individually desire within our hearts to come to the Father of our hearts and learn from Him directly, intimately and develop a relationship with Him that cannot be broken. |
