| Sound Of God |
|
It's in the Epistles God has given His full language to the Church! The Word is made full in the Epistles of the New Testament. We look in a mirror and see a reflection of all He is and as we absorb the substance of that Word, as we hear that sound, we are ever changing into His very likeness, into His very Image. My dear brethren, that is the mystery, it is no mystery at all if you are in Him and He is in you. COLOSSIANS 1:26
(KJV)
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
(The Living Bible)
That Secret Purpose, which though kept concealed from past ages and generations, has now been disclosed to His Hallowed People…
(Wand)
to explain the mystery of His design, which has been concealed from past ages and generations, but has now been revealed to the members of His Church…
(Way)
that mystic secret of the Lord which, through long ages past, through generations gone, was unrevealed, but has now been made clear and plain to God's consecrated ones…
(Weiss)
the true mystery of God is certainly this divine counsel of redemption, which remained hidden through the generations of past world ages…
That is the mystery; this is exactly what has been revealed to us, once we have become Christians. The seed of the language of God implanted into our heart and once nurtured, watered and cared for will grow into the very full and complete language, the Word of the Living God, and we will know Him as He knows us. This is the hope we have in Him; that we might know Him and the power of His resurrection. How do you think Christ was raised from the dead? With a Word, a Sound of God! It started with a Word and it will end with a language. A language we have grown to know, understand and comprehend. A language of Life and Love. A living breathing language of the Almighty God. A language of the Spirit into our spirit. A language of a New World, a New Man, a New Creation. A language that has ever existed and now has been made available to us in the sphere of the spirit. That is why it is a mystery to those outside of Christ, because it is only in the sphere of the spirit that it is revealed. Those who reside outside of Christ cannot understand us. They haven't heard this type of language before and we might as well be speaking as a foreigner to them. The language they know is carnal. The language they know is of the earth. The language they know is of the soul. It is the language of death. 1 CORINTHIANS 2:14
(KJV)
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
(NLT)
But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
(RSV)
The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
(BBE)
For the natural man is not able to take in the things of the Spirit of God: for they seem foolish to him, and he is not able to have knowledge of them, because such knowledge comes only through the Spirit.
The God language has been hid to all who have been trying to find it, outside of God's Spirit, "the unspiritual man", "the natural man". It is in the Spirit of God where all things are laid bare and open before us. It is the Spirit of God who communicates to us the Word of God in substance. Those who are not born of the Spirit have no way of knowing the communications of the Spirit. This person is not able to understand these things. He doesn't speak or understand this language. This is that which is a mystery and why it is a mystery to those who are "natural". It cannot be anything but a mystery since it is not within them to understand it. As J.W.C. Wand said: “to explain the mystery of His design, which has been concealed from past ages and generations, but has now been revealed to the members of His Church…" The mystery has been revealed to us because we now know His language. We can speak and understand God according to His language, His Word which was imparted to us when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. |
