By looking at the definition of this word "perfect", we get a glimpse into the true Goal of God. Then understanding the application of the teachings of the New Testament Epistles, in the true systematic way, and placing ourselves into that system we become ingrained in the ABC's of God reaching a fullness never expected, nor presumed. Never before imaginable as a child. We had no idea we would eventually be capable of running that machine and actually producing paper, when first we looked upon it. It was as foreign to us as a new language. It was larger than life; hard to be accepted and believed. Yes, we were children, at one point trying to learn the language it would take to run that thing and make it sing. PERFECT - (Thayer's Greek Definitions)
Can you see in this dear Christian? The Goal of God, which can only be reached in Christ? The fullness there is in a language mastered.
This is what our goal should be. Digging in the New Testament Epistles and the revelation given the writers by the Savior Himself, that's the whole message I want, that's the counsel I want, that's the plan I want to be in on! Yes, that is the language I want to know and be fluent in. So that I can communicate it, Him, to others, as He has communicated it to me. You see, we want to run the machine; we want to taste the good life, without learning the language. The machine is still under construction and hasn't been fully completed yet. Here we are thinking we can go, we can run and we really haven't even learned to walk yet. We still have to learn the ABC's of that language of The Spirit of God before we can take control of the "Promised Land" and operate in it, live in it, function through it, by it, and by it alone. In order to be able to give directions, one first has to know the territory, right? It is the Milk of the Word which explains the territory we have entered into. It is the Milk of His Word, which, when imparted and digested, will become so much a part of us we will no longer be like us, but like Him. It is this Milk, the basic essentials of our new Life in Him, which helps us grow to be able to give directions to the next person who drives by "The Promised Land." It is the sincere Milk of the Living Word which is developed within us, to explain through us, who we are and thereby grow up into all He is, for us. Oh my dear brethren, let us crave this Milk, let us drop all pretensions to it, let us go in as newborns, let us go in as little children who want to know all there is to know about Him who sacrificed all He was, so we could be all He is. Let us seek the basics of the language and learn our ABCs in it. It all started with a word and it all will end with the same word. At the name of JESUS, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that HE IS LORD! Come let's learn of Him, for his yoke is easy and his burden is light! COLOSSIANS 1:25-28

"This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it's out in the open. God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you; therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message. We preach Christ, warning people not to add to the Message.
We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity. To be mature is to be basic. Christ! No more, no less. That's what I'm working so hard at day after day, year after year; doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me."
As we go let us turn from ourselves and see what the Father has for us through the Holy Spirit of Truth! Which is, in essence, how one receives and continues on in the process and plan of God. It is only when we turned from ourselves to focus our heart attention on Him that we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, right? That should be the way we continue to walk, as we grow into maturity and perfect completeness. COLOSSIANS 2:6

So now, in exactly the same way you personally accepted Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior, continue on expressing Him from inside-out.
Now, listen if we received the message given to us of the Father about His Son when we turned from ourselves, then, doesn't it make absolute sense we should continue this way? We should turn from ourselves, from our language and understanding, if we are to grasp the full Word and language of what happened to us when we did get "born-again"; placed in "The Promise Land" - flowing with Milk and Honey! This is the fulfillment of the mystery; continuing to walk as when we first received Christ Jesus. Continuing on in the alphabet of God which was placed in us. From there it is a grand procession of illuminating light into a liquid language of Milk and Honey as we forever seek the Father's love and life, through and in union with His son. Well, I am definitely ready for a nice tall glass of fresh milk, anyone care to join me? Let's Go! |
