He is the source of the divine nature and that is where we get the Life, from the source. There is no other way around it. The only way to know God is for God to communicate Himself to us. "He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life." If you don't have the life you don't have the Son. If you don't have the Son you don't know the Son. If we try to get in by any other means it will be tainted, corrupt and defiled. It will be of human extract and defunct, not right, crude, unusable. That pure life He has given of Himself and communicated to us by His divine power He showed us when he raised Jesus from the dead and made us new. Now we are partakers of the very same power and life which He infused Jesus Christ with. The key to the whole thing is right here. We have His Life, His Nature, His Ability. The ability is in the Life. The ability of God is in the nature of God. The Divine Nature of God contains with it all we could ever ask for or even think of in the realm of God. He is His Life. He gave us the same capability He gave to Christ when He raised Him from the dead; He is the First born and we are His brethren! We shared the resurrection with Him when we accepted Him. So it only means that we now share His life, His very own Divine Nature, with Him; doesn't it? 2 PETER 1:4

Man, I really like this passage of scripture! Just about everything one needs to know about being a true Christian is wrapped up in this one verse. Why did He give us His divine nature? He knew that through it we have the power to overcome "the rottenness of the worlds system", the lust that is in the world is eating away at the very fabric of are lives. The only way to stop it is to get to know Him, the only way to get to know Him is to get His life in you, the only way to get His life in you is to get Jesus, the only way to get Jesus is to believe, the only way to believe is through grace, the only way to get grace is from God. It all starts with Him, it all ends with Him. This is the epitome of the wisdom of the world vs. The Wisdom of God. God puts his life and nature in you. The very essence of His being in you. He knows that life Will eat away at all the corruption that is in the world through lust. He knows through this we will all be changed into his radiant image of glory and Godlife. It is all through Him and Him alone. It is the "spirit to spirit" communication which originally took place allowing you to know Him, right? Then let that continue and ever listen to hear Him speak to your heart. Until that happens again and again and again continually we will still be struggling within to find Him. He is ever speaking to us through the avenue of the spirit; it's the avenue of the spirit that counts. He alone is our only teacher if we allow Him to be. He alone can bring us to completion in Him. He alone knows what He really has in mind for us so there is really know one better to listen to? |
