| Worth Of Wisdom |

So if we really want to know the truth contained in God's word, and we really want to get to the original language of the Word, then shouldn't we consult the speaker? And not the writer? That is how you know the difference between the truth in God's Word and the accuracy of the Bible. There does seem to be quite a few of us out here who seem to think that if they know the Greek it will bring them closer to God. Don't think so. Listen, don't get me wrong, knowing the Greek is nice but knowing the actual original source of all language both human and Divine is better. I don't believe that knowing the Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic puts us in any better position in the Spirit to receive of God. God treats us all the same and speaks to us all on our own level; that's what keeps us all equal in the spirit, otherwise one would have a reason to boast right? So, if you know the Greek, great, but I wouldn't think myself any the better or smarter in spiritual matters. We just talked about where that type of wisdom comes from, didn't we? What are you being taught and told? The wisdom from the world or the wisdom from God? God's wisdom is one of unity of purpose and strength. God's wisdom brings all men everywhere to the Savior. God's wisdom says all have sinned and fallen short of His glory. God's wisdom brings us to Him not away from Him. God's wisdom says come unto me ALL, ALL, ALL…and learn of me my yoke is easy and my burden is light. There is no competition in the Spirit, no jealousy, no strife, because we know in whom we have believed. We know He is faithful to keep us and guide us into all wisdom and knowledge so that we are lacking in nothing in the performance of our duties in Him. We all can know Him on His frequency, His wavelength, and He is withholding nothing from any of us. All wisdom and knowledge is ours if we learn to live and operate in the realm of His Kingdom; the sphere of the spirit. His divine power and ability has seen to the fact that we are all on the same level and all have received the same things in Christ. We all have Christ Jesus living in us and with Him have been made a partaker of the divine nature. He has freely, freely given us "all things" that pertain to life and godliness. Nothing lacking nothing, nothing withheld in part, but he has freely given us all things. What part is "all things"? How can anyone rightfully say we can only know Him in part if He has given us "all things"? What part of "all things" has He given us? Think about it. Think, asking. Think, seeking. Think, knocking. 2 PETER 1:2-4
(KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
(Laubach)
May you have more and more of God's grace. May He give you peace. May your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord ever increase…
(TCNT)
May blessing and peace be yours as you advance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord…
(Parker)
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through your experimental acquaintance with our God and the Lord Jesus Christ…
(Wand)
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through this fresh knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus Christ…
(Letter to Street Christians)
Do you want to live more of the Father's kindness and peace? Then get to know Him better…
I would truly be remiss in all this if I didn't mention the grace of God. It is all by grace, and grace alone, that we are even given this glorious opportunity. That is why I wanted to start with verse two. How well Peter himself knew of this grace and how well he must have understood it. How important is it then to have him mention it right here in front of these verses? It is by grace you are saved and by grace alone, not of yourselves it is the gift of God lest anyone should go around bragging. Hmmm? |
