Gold Of God...True Life In Christ
Jesus, to know Him

As a Christian it is of the utmost importance we continue to grow and become more attune to God, His will and His purpose for us. This book was written to encourage you to develop a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To help you recognize and understand the truth of God through this In Christ Bible Study. To Know Him.

1 John 5:20
(KJV)
We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
(BBE)
And we are certain that the Son of God has come, and has given us a clear vision, so that we may see him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
(Barlee)
And we know that the Son of God hath come into the world, and hath given us the knowledge of this salvation, that we may know him that is true; and we know that we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, the means of everlasting life.
(Message)
And we know that the Son of God came so we could recognize and understand the truth of God--what a gift!--and we are living in the Truth itself, in God's Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus is both True God and Real Life.

Learning who Jesus is and knowing what Jesus accomplished for us in His
death, burial, resurrection and ascension is what true life in Christ is.

This book is about you; who you are, what you are, where you are, when you are, why you are and how you are connected to who Jesus is in you.

You see, I believe it is time to resort back to the very roots of Christianity. With the gluttony of knowledge and information available in this day and age, everything, everywhere, can be left to someone's opinion of what is important, regardless of real truth.

These opinions are not what make a Christian; belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is what makes a Christian. Belief in that truth is what changes a person's life. Continual belief, in that truth, makes a person succeed in every facet of their life in Christ.

Jesus is our Rock, our sure foundation and desire for this truth must not be supplanted by desire for the faith to acquire wealth, possessions, knowledge or any other materialistic thing, otherwise we are building our houses on the proverbial sand.

Truth is what matters

If we know the truth, we know Him and He knows us. If we know who we are in Christ these peripheral things are a mere matter of our conscious union with God and obedience to His Word in us. God's truth begins to become more real than what this world says or does which allows us to focus on what is really important in our life.

If you know the truth, the truth will set you free.

Let us now begin to refocus on Him and His Word...learning to live a true Christian life by allowing Him to take full control of all we desire, all we are and all we do.

Everything this world offers you...

is completely temporary. All that God offers you is eternal, so don't waste your time investing or believing for things in this world or for the things of this world. This world is passing away, but God's Kingdom will never pass away.

Unless we return to the roots of Christianity and reinspect the original New Testament letters, I truly believe we are heading in more of a direction away from God then to Him. The original Gospel was one that Christians literally gave their life for; that is the quality of Christianity I desire to know in every way. This is the quality of Christianity which I wish to
communicate here.

What was it about their beliefs that were so different? Why were they so readily able to dismiss their life and possessions in sacrifice for Him who is Jesus Christ? That is the Gospel I crave to understand. They were not wanton for the things and knowledge of this world; they truly had their hearts set totally on God. God to them was not existing to give them everything they asked for. To them God was there to sacrifice everything they were and had for Him.

Let us go on now to seek and find the truth of the Gospel of Him who was crucified on our behalf. This is real Christianity and this is what this book seeks to convey: The authentic Gospel of the New Testament in His blood. Gold Of God…True life in Christ.

John 17:3
(KJV)
This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
(BBE)
And this is eternal life: to have knowledge of you, the only true God, and of him whom you have sent, even Jesus Christ.
(Message)
Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent.
