Flow Of God Bookmark and Share

No, surely it wasn't me. Just someone that sounded like me, that's all. Drop down into your spirit? You're kidding right? Anyone ever heard that one? Or any of the other masses of confusion out there? Anyone ever hear any of those? Well, I am living proof that none of those processes work. Sorry, mind renewal just doesn't work that way.

How can we obey from the heart what is in our head?
How can what is in our head get into our heart?
That is exactly opposite of the way God works.
The process of "mind renewal" does not work from the outside in.

God flows through you from the inside out. Now, think about this…if we try to put something into our mind, aren't we going against or blocking the flow of God? Please bear with me here, there is a legitimate explanation, and we are seekers of the truth, right? Let us just spend a few minutes of our time here and I know we will see this. The best way to start anything is from the beginning. How does God do what He does in and through us?

He speaks from the Spirit into our heart, right? Think about this. Don't just give in and say that I'm bonkers or off the wall. Just think about it a minute and if by the end of the next page or two, you don't agree; than that's O.K. just don't read this part of the book.

Now, remember when we first got saved, and/or filled with the Holy Spirit, what happened?
God spoke to our heart and then we asked Him to come into our heart right?

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock"...

Isn't that what happened? Yes, I believe it is. Let's look just to be sure, O.K.?

ROMANS 10:6-10
(KJV)
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Verse 6 starts with showing us that the Word no longer comes from the external sources, that is "who will go up to heaven to bring Christ down". Then verse 7, "who shall descend into the deep to bring Him up?"

We don't have to do that in order for someone to get saved. The Word is available to us through the avenue of preaching, so that God speaks to our hearts from within. In other words, what I believe is being said is, Christ only had to die and be raised once, for all time. We don't have to see it happen with our physical senses to get saved. God speaks the truth to our hearts, which is the message of salvation.

Now I know we are all quite familiar with this passage, but it is this passage that gives us the initial indication of how God works through us. Verse 8, "the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach". The word is near, "in our mouths", and "in our hearts". How did it get there? God is speaking it to us there.

If God didn't speak the Word there, then I would ask where it came from and how did you get saved by it?

God speaks to our heart, through His Spirit and when we hear that Word in our heart, through the spirit, we believe that it is God, confess that word and are saved.

The Word worked from the inside out. Do you see that? Man obeyed from the heart and he was saved. Your heart is the very core, the essence of your being, all that you are is right there in the heart.

Seriously, it is of the utmost importance for us to all understand God works from the inside out, not from the outside in.

Well, we say, that can't be right, otherwise, we wouldn't need preaching; God would speak to all of us from the inside.

Did someone just ask that question or am I just hearing things?

No, we need preachers so that God can speak to man from man, through His Word.

Let me ask you this? Did you get saved the first time you heard the Word? I know I didn't.

It took quite awhile, but when God spoke it was immediate, I got saved when He spoke the Word to me, to my heart. God spoke through the Word being spoken and then it came out through me when I believed and confessed it, producing my salvation.

If we didn't have preachers, He would have something else speaking, like a donkey, or maybe the rocks would cry out. God works through His Word. If Gods Word isn't there, neither is God. The two work hand in hand.
