So if we don't know His will, how can we grow according to His plan?

I fear we, as a people, are in much too much of a hurry and are pushing the fabric holding this thing together. If we are not careful we are going to tear it wide open and us with it. It is easier than ever to acquire information in this day and age. With that ease of acquisition comes also a vanity in what man knows. As one writer has said: "Knowledge blows up the empty windbag of self conceit."

Knowledge provides us with a nasty energy that only amplifies self. The more one knows, the more one thinks he knows. It ought not to be so, but it is, especially in this age of computers. Whatever you want to know is at your fingertips, whatever you want to do is at your fingertips, whatever you want to see is at your fingertips, and it is a false power.

Is all this bringing us into a closer relationship with our Father? I don't think so. Are we gaining in knowledge "about" God? Yes, I believe we are. Is it bringing us closer to God? No, I don't think so. On the contrary, it is adding to the confusion that already exists in the world.

Knowledge for knowledge sake is worthless. Knowledge without order is confusion. Knowledge amplifies the activity of the soul, without the conviction of the heart.

I would the people of the world and all people of the world to be saved, and come to a real knowledge of the truth, as it is IN CHRIST JESUS. Not knowledge "about" Christ, rather a knowing of HIM. If we are not very careful, opinions about Christ and His Word will take the place of the truth and become more important to us.

I rue the day when our own opinions are more important to us than the TRUTH. Let me say that again, opinions are opinions and that is it, we should seek the TRUTH in all things and not value our own opinions over that TRUTH.

If our opinions gain the ascendancy in our thought process, lookout, oh-oh, watch out. Man will become a barking dog, with gnashing teeth, wailing to be heard because his opinion has taken the place of truth and everyone should hear it. The loudest man wins. Scary, isn't it? Seriously.

Well, what to you think is happening in the world today? I am ever praying that this leaven doesn't creep into the Church or get anywhere near it. If it does, the Church will become a powerless piece of opinion that has unfortunately forgotten her Lord and her God.

My dear Brethren, let us earnestly seek the truth in the power of the Spirit so that we are changed from the inside out. That is where God is and that is who we truly want to know, isn't it? The more we focus our thoughts and actions inwardly, the better we are able to hear God. We train our souls to be attentive to our heart, which is where God speaks. Fixing our gaze ever inward and living out of the sphere of the spirit, a true reflection of all He is and all He has done for us, in Christ. That is where the truth comes from. That is where the Father lives and He said He would come and live with us.

Jesus said that if we are attentive to His breathings than He will come and live with us (John 14:23). He would be constantly with us, in our consciousness, in our awareness. Did you know you can be so consumed with God that you are ever aware of Him, ever abiding with Him, in His presence? That is possible, and that is where we should desire to live. The more time we spend there, in that place of the spirit, the more we are changed. The more time we spend with the Father and His Word, the more we are changed into that very image. You see, the image we are looking at is what we become or pattern ourselves after. That image we are identifying with. That's exactly where I am longing to be. That is exactly where I am going and staying.

The image of the Word created in our spirit, seeping out into our soul, transforming its shape to perfectly reflect the Master and Lord of our hearts.

This is real and true freedom of man in the spirit. When you know you can hear from God and you are hearing from God. Knowing that God is speaking to your inner man and through your spontaneous confession in obedience you are being changed to echo all He is. A true living echo of the Word living out the salvation that God has provided for us. That is a knowledge of the truth that will set anyone free. A true freedom in the spirit, in the Promised Land, flowing with Milk and Honey.
